Rafael Toral er en guitarist af guds nåde ud i det abstrakte felt af feedback og klangfarve. I 1990erne blev kan kaldt "one of the most gifted and innovative guitarists of the decade" (Chicago Reader). Han har samarbejdet med folk som Jim O'Rourke, John Zorn, Alvin Lucier, Evan Parker, David Toop, Sonic Youth, Fennesz i Europa, USA, Canada og Japan. Han er medlem af det elektroniske orkester MIMEO, sammen med Keith Rowe og Peter Rehberg.

Rafael Toral har nu forladt guitaren og bevæget ind i et område der kan betegnes som improviseret psykedelisk feedback spacedrone - en slags musikalsk grundforskning.

Robert Piotrowizc og Anna Zaradny står bag Polens største festival og pladeselskab for elektronisk og eksperimenterende musik: Musica Genera. Og de er begge markante elektroniske kunstnere. Med udgangspunkt i analog modular synthesizer, sinustoner og laptop skaber de nærmest brutale oscillerende teksturer. De har spillet med for eksempel Burkhard Stangl, Zbigniew Karkowsk, Jerome Noetinger, Lasse Marhaug, John Hegre, John Butcher, Tony Buck, Oren Ambarchi, Kevin Drumm, Kasper T. Toeplitz, Lionel Marchetti etc. De er med andre ord et lyt værd. De spiller hver et solosæt.

Den dynamiske duo bestående af Dylan Nyoukis og Karen Constance fra Brighton. BS spiller en musik der giver mindelser om navne som Gedhalia Tazartes, Pierre Henry, Henry Chopin og anden konkret musik. Men med forkærlighed for stemmen som hovedinstrument og Constances' elektroniske lydtæpper er der lagt op til en tung omgang psycho seksuel koncertoplevelse. Ligeledes har Nyoukis siden halvfemserne kørt selskabet Chocolate Monk, som har været en stor inspiration for de utallige selskaber der idag spytter cd-r og bånd udgivelser ud som om det var endnu en forbrugsvare fra de mest mørke dele af en Netto i Hvidovre. Chocolate Monk er nok et af de undergrundsselskaber der har, på linie med American tapes og Hanson været en del af at skabe et frodigt undergrundsmiljø indenfor den scene Blood Stereo selv arbejder indenfor.

If for some reason one had to leave one's children in the care of just
one improvising musician from the European continent, the choice might logically be this man. It isn't so much that he is a devoted father himself, as there are many such people on the improv scene. No, the attraction would be the equipment he might be packing, as Martin Klapper is a musician who gets on-stage without a single recognizable musical instrument. Instead, he improvises with as much as two full picnic tables covered with mechanical toys, toy instruments, everyday electronic gadgets, and a variety of homemade instruments. His ability to coax an incredible array of weird sounds out of these devices, combined with a seemingly always-in-control manner of interplay with his fellow musicians, made him an in-demand player on the improv scene from the mid-'80s on, although he would hardly be the choice of a player looking to create mellow, groovy music.

Hun skriver: "Evangelista is a sound that you can open your chest with, pull out whats inside and make it change shapes, make it open more times and, even more til the sound inside has finally sealed the hole where your vile/beautiful heart belongs Even if you believe in nothing, good or
bad, I must report: theres really no such thing as empty space. Even inside this void there is sound. You will hear it. You will see. You will be cradled and near deafened by love and mercy sounds and the sound of your own blood pulsing with fire and mercy. or you can just plug your ears, curl up like a tabby and take a snooze."
